Rihanna showed support for her longtime partner A$AP Rocky at the beginning of his gun assault trial in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 29). After evading a throng of paparazzi outside, the music superstar and fashion mogul made a surprise appearance in the courtroom, sitting front row alongside Rocky’s mom and sister. The alleged victim, A$AP Rell, provided testimony about the supposed shooting incident that occurred three years ago. Rihanna, who shares two children with Rocky, watched silently as the testimonies unfolded. According to Relli, he had an encounter with Rocky where the rapper allegedly fired a gun at him. Rocky, who is facing felony assault charges, maintains that he was carrying a prop gun for protection and never fired live bullets, instead firing “warning shots” to de-escalate a confrontation between Relli and A$AP Illz. If convicted, Rocky could potentially face up to 24 years in prison. (Rolling Stone
